Level of competition: U15 girls and boys
Travel arrangements: Car pooling compensation: 3+ people/vehicle $0.40/km, 2 people/vehicle $0.35/km, 1 person/vehicle $0.30/km. Some travel will be coordinated by ABOA, as necessary.
All meals will be provided.
Accommodations: all refs will be put up in hotels in Peace River.
We have spots for 17 or 18 referees and 2 or 3 A/Es....total 20 registrations.
Technical package will be sent to ABOA and fwd to all officials by Basketball Alberta once all are registered...after June 23rd.
There are no game fees for any officials selected to Alberta or Canada Games by policy. All officials will receive a long sleeve dry fit shirt and a provincial evaluation.
To Apply: Officials will be selected by their local boards who must have their nominations into ABOA through Jake Steinbrenner at zebra1@ocii.com by Thursday, June 17th. Each local board can nominate 1 official to each of the girls & boys competitions and ABOA will make the final selections with heavy priority to representation from all regions. Peace River & GPBOA as hosts can nominate 2 each.
This is a high intensity level of competition so please nominate officials who are able to handle a certain amount of pressure. In the future this will be limited to, in all likelihood, only NOCP Level 2 officials.
Basketball Alberta must have the names by Friday June 18th. Robyn Oldham at BA would like all the hard copy registrations and rosters sent to her and she will fwd on. Online registrations are the responsibility of the participating officials once selected....Jake will advise on those procedures.
